#JusticeForCweCwe: IFP structures march for action against GBV

The campaign included a peaceful march/ picket at the Durban City Hall.

This campaign is a response to the horrific rape of a 7-year-old girl, affectionately known as Cwecwe, in Matatiele in the Eastern Cape. The assault allegedly took place at her school, Bergview College, in Matatiele. This appalling act has once again highlighted the continued and devastating vulnerability of children in South Africa—particularly young girls.

As the youth and women of the IFP, both IFPYB and IFPWB will not remain silent while the safety of children is compromised.

The #JusticeForCweCwe Awareness Campaign is more than a call for justice for one child—it is a call to action for the government, law enforcement, educational institutions, and communities to prioritize the safety of children and strengthen mechanisms for child protection in schools and society at large.
