JUST IN: Truck crash and diesel spillage cause total road closure of N1

JOHANNESURG - Following the earlier motor vehicle accident involving two trucks on the N1 South before Maraisburg Road, the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) has confirmedt that all lanes of the N1 South are closed to traffic. According to JMPD, this closure is necessary to allow emergency personnel to safely manage the scene and clear the diesel spillage and overturned vehicle. "Three slight injuries have been reported, and one of the trucks has overturned, spilling diesel. Emergency personnel and Law Enforcement are on scene, and initially, three lanes were affected and closed off, causing heavy delays. "All lanes of the N1 South are currently closed before Maraisburg Road. Vehicles are being diverted at Gordon Road. Significant and heavy traffic congestion is being experienced on the N1 South and surrounding areas," said JMPD. Rising Afrosoul songstress Yallunder dies



JOHANNESBURG - Another creative has shocked the entertainment industry following her passing.

Eastern Cape-born musician Yolanda Nyembezi, affectionately known as Yallunder, passed away today following a short illness.

Her family notified the public about her passing today. She was only 31.

“It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the heart-breaking news of the  passing of our beloved daughter, sister and friend Yolanda Nyembezi, known as Yallunder.

“A soul so rare and a voice so rich, Yolanda graced this earth with a spirit that was as warm as it was powerful,” said the statement.


The Ndinovalo hitmaker had a promising future in the music industry as her rich soulful voice sparked interests from popular producers.

The Bizana-born singer, had recently collaborated with South African music icon Oskido on a hit called Ntwana Yam.

"I am deeply saddened by the passing of Yallunder, a young and incredibly talented vocalist I had the honor of working with. Her voice, passion, and artistry will forever be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched. May her soul rest in eternal peace," Oskido lamented.

Although she passed away at a Johannesburg hospital, Yallunder is likely to be laid to rest in her home town of Mbizana in Eastern Cape.
