CAPE TOWN - The National Council of SPCAs (NSPCA) has  welcomed the announcement by Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Dr Dion George, on the imminent publication of the Lion Prohibition Notice banning new captive lion breeding facilities.   This long-awaited reform marks a pivotal milestone in dismantling an industry built on systemic cruelty, reflecting years of legal action, public advocacy, and inspections by the NSPCA. Gqom duo CampMasters hails fans for musical success

DURBAN - Gqom duo CampMasters is part of a collective that has elevated the Durban-rooted genre out of life support.

The rise and dominance of Amapiano shook the music scene in South Africa and forced its dominance on the global stage.

This wave shrunk the popularity of genres such as Gqom and Kwaito.

However, CampMasters, separately known as Mzwandile Khuluse and Khumbulani  'Wonder Boy' Langa from Umlazi, continued to revive the Gqom genre by releasing music for their fans.

Showing perseverance, the duo released a song titled Vuthela which its success reaffirmed their love from the fans.

"We’d like to take this opportunity to Thank you. This message is for everyone who helped catapult Vathela to these heights. Our hearts are filled with gratitude, joy and appreciation for the support you have shown our music over the years, especially with Vathela.

"Your love and support has been nothing short of amazing and we would like to make it public that we really appreciate it, without you we wouldn’t have reached these heights and gotten opportunities to work with various talented legends in the music industry," CampMasters poured its heart out.

The duo went on to share their plans for the year.

"We’re going to kick off the year with some brand new bangers with exciting features all around. We are excited to share that we are featured on the new Smash-Hit by Dj Tira & Dj Maphorisa Palesa which is on Dj Tira’s Upcoming EP titled Khuphuka.

"We are looking forward to sharing our new music with you and to interact with you in person at events," the group said.
