Fezile Ngubane, suspect in the Olorato Murder case cleared

DURBAN - An investigation has cleared Fezile Ngubane as a suspect in the Olorato Murder case.  According to police, Ngubane washes cars for a living and was targeted by deceased Philangenkosi Makhanya who used his ID to rica SIM cards with his details and use them in communicating with women.  "He has been released," said Athlenda Mathe, South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson. Makhanya, main suspect in the murder case, was gunned down by police in Amanzimtoti, south of Durban. Olorato Mongale, a promising Journalism graduate was laid to rest on Sunday, 1 June.

#Classof2024 makes history achieving outstanding Matric Results


GAUTENG - Minister of Basic Education Siviwe Gwarube released the much-anticipated Matric Results for the Class of 2024 earlier today, Monday, 13 January.

Achieving the highest pass rate in the history of the country, the Class of 2024 attained a remarkable 87,3%, an increase of 4,4% compared to 2023. The Class of 2023 under the leadership of Angie Motshekga had achieved 82.9%.

"We are proud of each of you. Your success is a testament to your perseverance," said Gwarube.

The NSC Provincial Breakdown Pass Rate:

1. Free State - 91%
2. KwaZulu-Natal - 89.5%
3. Gauteng - 88.4 %
4. North West - 87.5%
5. Western Cape - 86.6%
6. Limpopo - 85.01%
7. Mpumalanga - 84.99% 
8. Eastern Cape - 84.98%
9. Northern Cape - 84.2%

Minister Gwarube announced that KwaZulu-Natal has more bachelor passes, followed by Gauteng, and Eastern Cape.
